The office of Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (CO-04) announced that applications for Service Academy Nominations will close on September 12, 2025. The application period, which began on April 28, 2025, is open to high school students interested in attending a U.S. military academy.
Students or those who know potential applicants are encouraged to submit their applications before the deadline. Information about the nomination process and requirements can be found on the Service Academy Nomination website.
Members of Congress have the authority to nominate candidates for four of the five U.S. Service Academies: the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York; the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland; the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado; and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York. The fifth service academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut, does not require a congressional nomination.
Lauren Boebert has served as a member of Congress representing Colorado’s 3rd District since 2021 after replacing Scott Tipton (source). She was born in Altamonte Springs, Florida in 1986 and currently resides in Silt.
