Congresswoman Lauren Boebert announced that 13 of her community project funding requests have been signed into law, resulting in $14.75 million allocated for water and infrastructure projects across Colorado’s 4th Congressional District.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to announce that 13 of my community project funding requests have been signed into law, delivering a critical $14.75 million boost for vital water and infrastructure projects across Colorado’s 4th Congressional District! I’ve fought hard to secure these funds because our rural communities, families, farmers, and small towns deserve clean, reliable water and modern infrastructure that supports jobs and growth,” said Congresswoman Lauren Boebert. “These investments will make a real difference for thousands of Coloradoans. I am proud to deliver results for the 4th District!”
The approved funding is part of two legislative packages: H.R. 6938, enacted on January 23, 2026, which provides $11.75 million for water projects; and H.R. 7184, enacted on February 3, 2026, allocating $3 million for infrastructure improvements.
Projects receiving funding include the construction of a pipeline from Plum Creek to Rueter-Hess Reservoir in Castle Rock ($1.75 million), consolidation of Prairie View Ranch Water District in Wiggins ($1.75 million), upgrades at Cobb Lake Regional Water Treatment Plant in Severance ($1.75 million), a new wastewater treatment plant in Lamar ($1 million), replacement of drinking water distribution lines in Louviers ($1 million), improvements to Ovid’s water system ($1 million), and the Kiowa Well Redundancy Project ($1 million).
Other initiatives involve building a reverse osmosis facility in Brush ($1 million), street and utility upgrades in Yuma ($750,000), completion of Walsh’s water system improvements ($750,000), SH 71 corridor enhancements as part of the Heartland Expressway project across several counties ($2 million), widening Highway 85 through Sedalia and Castle Rock ($500,000), and intersection upgrades at Windsor’s Colorado Blvd and Crossroads Blvd ($500,000).
These projects aim to address aging infrastructure, improve public health safety by ensuring reliable access to clean water, enhance fire protection capacity in rural areas, upgrade transportation corridors for safety and mobility, support compliance with regulations on drinking water quality, stimulate local economic development by attracting residents and businesses, and improve overall resilience against drought or emergency events.
Lauren Boebert has served as the U.S. Representative for Colorado’s 3rd District since replacing Scott Tipton in 2021 (https://bioguide.congress.gov/search/bio/B001298). She was born in Altamonte Springs, Florida in 1986 and currently resides in Silt.
