The Colorado women’s basketball team announced on April 14 the addition of transfer guard Aniya’ Foy, a rising sophomore from Kansas State, to its roster for the 2026-27 season.

Foy played in 36 games during her freshman year at Kansas State, averaging 13.3 minutes, 4.3 points, and 2.1 rebounds per game. She contributed significant performances in the Big 12 tournament, scoring double digits against Texas Tech and Oklahoma State in March.

“We’re excited to add Aniya’ to our program,” head coach JR Payne said. “She’s a competitor with great instincts and a very high ceiling — her game and mindset fit perfectly with our culture.”

During the past season, Foy scored ten or more points three times and grabbed five or more rebounds in four games. In her collegiate debut against Omaha on Nov. 3, she posted 13 points along with four steals and three rebounds while shooting efficiently from the field.

Foy attended Cinco Ranch High School in Katy, Texas, where she was recognized as a McDonald’s All-American Game nominee and earned four-star recruit status. She holds school records for single-game (42) and single-season (694) scoring marks.

Colorado also announced several returning players amid transfer portal activity: Zyanna Walker, Jade Crook, Kennedy Sanders, Maeve McErlane, Sophie Zadel, and Claire O’Connor will be back next season.

The Buffaloes concluded their recent campaign with an appearance in the NCAA Tournament’s first round after finishing sixth in the Big 12 conference with an overall record of 22-12.
