Sophomore goalkeeper Elena Oh and freshman attacker Rowan Edson of Colorado were named Big 12 Players of the Week, the conference announced on Mar. 25.

These honors mark the ninth and tenth Big 12 Player of the Week awards for Colorado this season. The recognition highlights individual achievements in recent games as well as ongoing contributions to their team.

Oh, a sophomore from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, earned her fifth Goalkeeper of the Week award this season. Between Mar. 4 and Mar. 25, she received four consecutive weekly honors in this category. This latest accolade brings her career total to nine Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week awards. In Colorado’s game against UConn on Mar. 18, Oh recorded nine saves, one ground ball, and caused one turnover while posting a .642 save percentage and allowing only five goals. She currently ranks second nationally for goals-against average at 6.22 and sixth for save percentage at .525.

Edson, a freshman from Chappaqua, New York, was named Big 12 Freshman of the Week—her first career weekly honor from the conference. During Colorado’s victory over UConn on Mar. 18 with a score of 11-5, Edson scored three goals—a personal best—and totaled four points in that game while also collecting one ground ball.

Colorado will host San Diego State in its Big 12 home opener on Saturday, Mar. 28 at Prentup Field with play beginning at noon Mountain Time.
