Fans of the Colorado Buffaloes men’s and women’s basketball teams will have access to new ticket packages for upcoming games, according to a letter from CU Athletic Director Rick George. The promotions are being offered in partnership with Suerte Tequila.

For the December 28 men’s basketball game against Northern Colorado, fans can purchase a package that includes a game ticket, a handmade copita giveaway from Mexico, and a pregame tequila tasting for $35. Those who already have tickets can add the package for $20.

A similar offer is available on January 3 when the women’s team faces Cincinnati at the CU Events Center. This package features a game ticket, pregame tequila tasting, and a special Mule cup giveaway for $30, or $15 for those with existing tickets.

George noted that these packages are only available to fans aged 21 and over. He stated: “Packages are available to those 21 and over, of course, and are the latest example of some of the innovative promotions we’re offering basketball fans this year. Get your packages now because they’re going fast!”

Discounted tickets are also being offered for holiday games as part of efforts to boost attendance and support both teams.

The athletic department is encouraging donations to the Buff Club during the end-of-year giving season. George wrote: “It’s also the time of year for charitable giving and I urge you to give to the Buff Club to ensure that the incredible momentum we’ve built this fall keeps going into the spring. Your support is essential to our department, our programs, and especially our student-athletes so please consider the Buff Club as part of your year-end giving plans.”

He closed his message by wishing supporters well during the holidays: “From my family to yours, have a happy and healthy Holiday season and as always, thank you for your tremendous support.”
