The Colorado Buffaloes men’s golf team will begin play at the Bryan Regional of the 2026 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championships at the Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas, on May 18.

The event is significant as it determines which teams advance to the NCAA Championship Finals. The Buffaloes are seeded ninth in a field that includes some of the top-ranked teams nationally. Fans can follow live coverage through Babygrande Golf and live scoring on Scoreboard.

Head coach Roy Edwards announced Colorado’s lineup for the regional, naming senior Hunter Swanson, juniors Brandon Knight and Ty Holbrook, sophomore Parker Paxton, and graduate student Jackson Rivera as starters. Freshman Tyler Long will serve as an alternate. “We only worry about ourselves,” Edwards said. “It is pretty simple at the regional, you play well and you should be in the mix to advance. It’s very important to really focus on the task at hand and just play your normal game and see how it works out at the end.” He added: “These guys are for sure ready and should be very excited to have this opportunity. Coach Tolan and I are very confident in our six guys that are here.”

Swanson leads Colorado with a 70.47 stroke average this season along with seven top-20 finishes, while Knight has posted a team-high 138 birdies with four top-10 finishes. Holbrook has four top-10 results this year; Paxton tied a single-round school record with ten birdies; Rivera has contributed four top-20 finishes; Long recorded eleven subpar rounds during his freshman campaign.

The regional consists of three rounds over three days from May 18–20, played on a Jack Nicklaus-designed course stretching over 7,100 yards featuring hardwood-lined fairways and natural creeks. The top five teams from each of six regionals plus one individual not on an advancing team will move forward to championship finals held later in May.

Colorado is among twelve Big 12 Conference programs selected for NCAA Regionals this year. The Buffaloes’ practice round is scheduled for Sunday ahead of Monday’s opening competition.
