The Colorado Buffaloes Ski Team announced on March 9 that it will compete in the 2026 NCAA Ski Championships from March 11 to 14 at Utah Olympic Park and Soldier Hollow. The team is led by skiers who have achieved a combined total of 17 wins and 58 podium finishes this season.

This event is significant as the Buffaloes are aiming for their 22nd NCAA skiing national championship, building on a tradition that includes 21 previous titles. The team has consistently performed well, finishing first or second in 14 of the last 19 championships and placing in the top four every year during that span.

The lineup features Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association Most Valuable Player winners Louison Accambray, Filip Wahlqvist, Storm Pedersen, and Tilde Baangman. Colorado qualified a full roster of twelve skiers—one of only seven programs nationally to do so—with six athletes returning from previous NCAA Championships and six making their debut at this level.

Among the experienced competitors, Tilde Baangman will participate in her fourth NCAA Championships, while Johannes Flaaten and Filip Wahlqvist are set for their third appearances. Louison Accambray, Astri Lunde, and Nina Schamberger return for their second time. Newcomers Feb Allasina, Justin Bigatel, Paige DeHart, Cathinka Lunder, Jakob Moch, and Storm Pedersen will compete at nationals for the first time.

Throughout the season leading up to nationals, Colorado’s qualifiers completed 117 out of 134 races with notable results: they earned 99 top-10 finishes and reached the top five on 76 occasions. The schedule begins Wednesday with giant slalom events at Utah Olympic Park and continues through Saturday with Nordic freestyle races at Soldier Hollow.
