The Colorado Buffaloes Ski Team announced on Mar. 3 that 15 of its athletes have been named to the All-Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association (RMISA) teams, tying the program’s record for total selections. The team also set a new school record with 10 skiers earning First Team honors.
This achievement highlights the continued strength and depth of the Colorado Buffaloes in collegiate skiing. The number of First Team selections surpasses previous records set in 2004, 2009, and 2018, while the overall total matches marks from each of the past two seasons.
The men’s alpine squad led with four First Team honorees and five overall. The men’s Nordic team contributed three First Team members, while both women’s Nordic and women’s alpine teams added four and three selections respectively. Louison Accambray stood out by finishing on the podium in 13 out of 14 races this season, setting a new program record for podium finishes and claiming six victories.
Tilde Baangman was recognized for her performance in Nordic events, finishing in the top four in ten out of eleven races with eight podiums and four wins. Filip Wahlqvist finished strong going into postseason competition, securing ten podiums in fourteen races including his first two career giant slalom victories. Feb Allasina, Justin Bigatel, and Stanley Buzek were also key contributors to the men’s alpine team’s success.
On the men’s Nordic side, Storm Pedersen completed all ten races he entered with five podiums and a classic race victory at the DU Invitational. Johannes Flaaten consistently placed in the top ten with a classic win at the CU Invitational. Jakob Moch earned First Team honors despite limited participation due to Olympic commitments but managed three runner-up finishes in five races.
Other notable mentions include Astri Lunde’s consistent top-eight finishes across all her events and Second Team honorees Cathinka Lunder, Christoffer Oestroem, and Nina Schamberger for their strong performances throughout the season. Honorable mentions went to Paige DeHart for her late-season surge and Selma Nevin for completing every race this year.
