The Colorado Buffaloes Soccer Team will host the annual Colorado Cup at Prentup Field on Sunday, April 12, welcoming five other Front Range programs for a full day of spring competition.

The event brings together teams from Denver, Northern Colorado, Air Force, Colorado College and UCCS in a round-robin format. The Buffaloes enter as defending champions, having won the title in each of the last four contested seasons and seven of the last nine overall.

The tournament is organized into two groups: Group 1 includes Denver, Northern Colorado and Air Force; Group 2 features Colorado, Colorado College and UCCS. Each team will play two preliminary matches with points awarded for wins and penalty kick outcomes if games end in a draw. Matches are set for two periods of 25 minutes with a five-minute halftime across both fields at Prentup complex. The championship match is scheduled for 3 p.m. on the south field.

Admission to all matches is free. Fans are encouraged to bring portable chairs for viewing along both sides of the complex. Concession stands will be open throughout the day with music and public address announcements between matches to enhance the atmosphere. Additional portable seating will also be available.

Colorado has been historically successful in this event, winning nine titles since its inception—including victories in each year from 2022 through 2025.
