The University of Colorado track and field program will host the 2026 Colorado Invite at the Ford Practice Facility on Friday, Jan. 23, and Saturday, Jan. 24.
The event will bring together several collegiate teams, including Air Force, Colorado Christian, Colorado College, Colorado School of Mines, Colorado State, Northern Colorado, Oklahoma Panhandle, and Regis. The meet is set to feature a range of field and track events over two days.
Admission for Friday’s events is free to the public. Tickets are required for Saturday and can be purchased online or at the door. Attendees should note that the Ford Practice Facility enforces a clear bag policy and only water is permitted inside; water coolers will be available but guests must bring their own bottles or cups. Parking is available beneath the Indoor Practice Facility for a fee at all times with payment options via kiosks or the ParkMobile app using lot code 6339.
Field events will begin at noon on Friday with women’s pole vault, long jump, weight throw, and men’s shot put. Track events start Saturday at 11 a.m., opening with men’s 60 meter hurdles prelims. Fourteen athletes from Colorado are scheduled to compete across ten events in addition to both men’s and women’s 4×400 meter relays.
At the previous Potts Invitational meet, five facility records were broken in various disciplines including high jump, pole vault, weight throw, shot put, and mile run. Isaiah Givens of Colorado set new facility and state records in the mile with a converted time of 3:51.73—the top mark nationally for this season’s NCAA Indoor Championships. Other notable performances included Kole Mathison ranking fourth nationally in the mile after running a personal best time that converts to 3:54.87; Lukas Haug entering the national top ten; Grady Rauby achieving a personal best that ranks him fourteenth nationally; Lucas Williams moving into third place on Colorado’s all-time list in weight throw; Juliette Forstom winning the women’s 3,000 meters by a wide margin; and alumni Valerie Constien narrowly missing another facility record while Abbey Glynn posted strong results in her return.
