Colorado track and field to begin outdoor season at Dr. Dan Caprioglio Invitational

The Colorado track and field team will open its outdoor season at the Dr. Dan Caprioglio Invitational, hosted by Colorado State University Pueblo, on March 20 and 21. The meet is scheduled to start Friday at 10 a.m. and continue Saturday at 8 a.m.

The event marks the transition from the indoor campaign as the Buffaloes aim to build early-season momentum in sprints, distance, and field events for the start of their 2026 outdoor schedule.

Men’s entries include Ernest Campbell in the 100 meters; Joran Ball and Jameson Leigh in the 400 meters; Kimi Bulto in the 800 meters; Teagan Malcom in the 400-meter hurdles; Lucas Williams in both discus and hammer throw; Gustavo Alfonso in javelin; and three relay teams entered in the men’s 4×400 meter relay.

On the women’s side, Elliott Pribramsky will compete in the 400 meters; Beana Winchell, Linda Weigang, Ana Peters, Layla Driscoll, and Olivia Sheridan are entered in the 1500 meters; Georgia Bell will run the 5000 meters; Abby Miller is set for the 400-meter hurdles; Amanda Opp will participate in both discus and hammer throw; Alaina Fantaski is entered in javelin; and a women’s relay team will compete in the 4×400 meter relay.
