The Colorado women’s basketball team will travel to Houston for a Big 12 matchup on Wednesday, February 11, at the Fertitta Center. The game is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. MT and will be streamed on ESPN+. Fans can also listen to the broadcast on the Colorado Radio Network and online platforms.

Colorado, holding a 16-8 overall record and 7-5 in conference play, leads the all-time series against Houston 3-1. Their last meeting was a 66-58 win for Colorado during the first round of the 2025 Big 12 Championship in Kansas City.

The Buffaloes come into this game after an upset victory over then-No. 14 TCU, winning 80-79 at home. Senior forward Jade Masogayo scored a career-high 23 points in that game, including the decisive basket with five seconds left. Junior guard Desiree Wooten contributed 19 points and six assists, while freshman forward Logyn Greer added 17 points off the bench. Junior guard Zyanna Walker finished with 15 points and four steals.

Head coach JR Payne is in her tenth season leading Colorado and has compiled a record of 180-124. She has guided the team to three NCAA tournament appearances and has been extended through the 2028 season.

This season, Colorado returned four players from last year’s roster: senior forward Jade Masogayo, sophomore guard Kennedy Sanders, fifth-year center JoJo Nworie, and sophomore forward Tabitha Betson. The program also welcomed ten newcomers—five transfers and five freshmen—including Zyanna Walker (Kansas State), Desiree Wooten (North Texas), Claire O’Connor (Gonzaga), Maeve McErlane (DePaul), Anaëlle Dutat (Rhode Island), Erianna Gooden, Jade Crook, Isa Hämäläinen, Logyn Greer, and Sophie Zadel.

Jade Masogayo ranks among the top players in several conference categories: she is in the top-25 for points per game (12.0), ranks fifteenth in free throw percentage (77.5%), and is tied for eighteenth in blocks per game (0.8). Her recent performances earned her recognition as one of the Big 12 Starting Five Top Performers this week.

Zyanna Walker is tied for second in steals per game (2.4) within the conference and reached her milestone of 800 career points against TCU.

Senior forward Anaëlle Dutat stands third in rebounds per game (8.0) across the Big 12 and leads both total offensive rebounds (87) and offensive rebounds per game (3.6).

Desiree Wooten is tied for twenty-fourth in scoring average within the conference with 12.4 points per game.

As a team, Colorado ranks fifth in rebounding margin (+5.9) and steals per game (10.21) among other statistical categories within Big 12 play.

The Buffs have seen multiple players reach individual milestones recently: freshman center Jade Crook is approaching her first hundred career points; Anaëlle Dutat nears both seven hundred career points and nine hundred rebounds; Jade Masogayo is close to two hundred assists; Maeve McErlane approaches two hundred career points; Zyanna Walker recently surpassed eight hundred career points; Desiree Wooten reached two hundred career assists against TCU.
