Denver women’s golf in 14th after first round at FAU Paradise Invitational

The University of Denver women’s golf team is in 14th place after the first round of the FAU Paradise Invitational at Osprey Golf Club in Boca Raton, Florida. The team finished the opening round with a score of 23-over par.

Kentucky leads the tournament after shooting even par, followed by Tennessee at one-over and Georgia at five-over. Madison Messimer from Tennessee and Karoline Tuttle from Georgia are tied for first individually, each finishing the day one-under par. Cathryn Brown and Anastasia Hekkonen, both from Kentucky, are tied for third at two-under.

Logan Hale is currently leading the Denver Pioneers, tied for 18th place with a score of two-over par (74). Other Denver golfers include Anna Neumayer (six-over, 78), Maren Farbu (seven-over, 79), Holly Hamilton (eight-over, 80), Raegan Capizzi (eight-over, 80), and Brooke McGlasson (12-over, 84).

The Pioneers will begin their second round tomorrow morning at 7 a.m. Mountain Time.
