Denver women’s golf finishes 14th at PING ASU Invitational in Phoenix

The University of Denver women’s golf team finished in 14th place at the PING ASU Invitational, according to a Mar. 25 announcement from the team. The tournament was held at Papago Golf Course in Phoenix, Arizona, where Denver ended with a total score of 42-over par.

The result places Denver well behind the leading teams. Southern California won the event with a score of 23-under par, followed by Arizona State at 12-under and Cal State Fullerton at 9-under. The individual title went to Davina Xanh from Cal State Fullerton, who finished eight strokes under par. There was a four-way tie for second place among Catherine Park (USC), Pimpisa Rubrong (Arizona State), Ryann Honea (Abilene Christian), and Kaitlyn Zermeno Smith (Cal State Fullerton), each finishing seven under par.

For Denver, Anna Neumayer led the team with rounds of 71, 76, and 73 for a total score of four over par and tied for 31st individually. Kaitlin Zingler finished tied for 59th (+11), Holly Hamilton tied for 64th (+13), Maren Farbu tied for 67th (+15), and Logan Hale tied for 73rd (+17).

The next competition on the schedule is the Boilermaker Spring Classic on April 12-13 in West Lafayette, Indiana.
