Denver women’s golf team in 14th after first round of PING ASU Invitational

The University of Denver women’s golf team finished the opening round of the PING ASU Invitational in 14th place at 11-over, according to a March 23 report from Phoenix, Arizona. The tournament is being held at Papago Golf Course.

This result places Denver behind leading teams such as USC, which ended the day at 17-under. Baylor and Cal State Fullerton followed with scores of 9-under and 7-under respectively. On the individual leaderboard, Jasmine Koo from USC leads at six under par, while Elise Lee (USC) and Jennifer Seo (UCLA) are tied for second at five under.

For Denver, Anna Neumayer posted a career-low round with a score of one under par (71), placing her in a tie for 18th individually. Kaitlin Zingler finished three over par (75) to tie for 50th. Holly Hamilton shot four over (76), Maren Farbu carded five over (77), and Logan Hale completed the day six over par (78).

The Pioneers are scheduled to begin their second round on Sunday morning at 9:30 Mountain Time.
