On Wednesday night, deputies responded to an alert from a FLOCK camera system regarding a vehicle traveling northbound on I-25 near E. Palmer Divide Ave. The vehicle was wanted in connection with several felony crimes, including a shooting that occurred in another jurisdiction.

Deputies located the suspect vehicle as it exited I-25 onto E. Plum Creek Parkway. With assistance from the Castle Rock Police Department, officers used the Grappler device to stop the vehicle at I-25 and Wilcox.

The passenger of the vehicle fled on foot into a nearby creek bed. Law enforcement established a containment perimeter and sent DougCoAlert notifications to residents in the area. IMPACT teams, K9 units, and drones equipped with thermal imaging technology were deployed during the search. The suspect was found and taken into custody. Authorities reported that the individual had multiple felony and misdemeanor warrants from various agencies.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of drugs, drug paraphernalia, and a 9mm handgun.

“Thanks to the collaboration, the suspect was located and taken into custody. The individual had multiple felony and misdemeanor warrants out of several agencies.”

“During an inventory search of the vehicle, drugs, drug paraphernalia, and a 9mm handgun were recovered.”
