The Elbert County Treasurer’s Office has introduced a new option for property owners to prepay their property taxes through monthly installments. This initiative, in partnership with EscrowTaxes.com, aims to help both residential and business property owners manage their tax payments more efficiently.

EscrowTaxes.com provides a secure, cloud-based platform where users can set up equal monthly pre-payments using e-checks, credit cards, debit cards, or digital wallets. According to the Treasurer’s Office, the service is designed to “help taxpayers avoid costly lump-sum payments through flexible monthly plans and reduced fees.”

Eligible participants include those who own their properties outright, homeowners or taxpayers seeking predictable payment schedules, senior citizens on fixed incomes, and commercial property owners interested in better managing tax obligations. To qualify for the program, properties must be owned free of liens or mortgages, accounts must be current, and the annual tax bill must be at least $100.

Enrollment is available by visiting the Elbert County Treasurer’s Office website and accessing EscrowTaxes.com to create an account and establish recurring monthly payments. Payments are processed securely each month on the 15th and are applied by each statutory due date.

The cost for participating in this service includes a $1 fee per transaction for e-checks and a 2.5% processing fee for credit or debit card transactions.

For additional information or assistance with enrollment, property owners can visit www.elbertcounty-co.gov/283/Treasurer or contact the Elbert County Treasurer’s Office at 303-621-3120.
