Elbert County schedules second open house for comprehensive plan input

Elbert County will hold its second Comprehensive Plan Open House on January 26, 2026. The event is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Agricultural Building at the County Fairgrounds, located at 95 Ute Avenue in Kiowa, Colorado.

During the open house, attendees can review the draft Future Land Use Map and learn about different land use categories. Participants will also have a chance to explore proposed goals and strategies for future land use in Elbert County. Community members are encouraged to provide feedback that will help guide the county’s long-term vision.

The project team invites residents to take part in shaping local development plans.
