Elbert County will host an open house on October 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Elbert County Fairgrounds, Agriculture Building in Kiowa. The event will present the results of a recent community survey and offer residents a chance to provide feedback about the findings.

The survey collected responses from 925 residents across the county, gathering input on topics such as land use, housing, transportation, and economic development.

Byron McDaniel, Elbert County Commissioner and Chairman of the Board, expressed appreciation for local participation. “We are incredibly grateful for the robust participation in the comprehensive plan survey by residents countywide,” McDaniel said on behalf of the Board. “The results provide a clear picture of our community’s priorities and values. This open house is a chance for everyone to see the data and engage in a dialogue that will help shape our future.”

More information about the Elbert County Comprehensive Plan Update can be found at www.ElbertCountyComprehensivePlan.com.

A notice was also issued stating that two or more members of the Board of Elbert County Commissioners may attend this event but no official action will be taken.
