Officials from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) conducted an inspection at Meridian Trading Company in Boulder on Feb. 2 regarding foodborne biological hazard risks, according to data posted on the FDA’s website.
The inspection’s final report advised Meridian Trading Company to voluntarily address corrective actions related to the company’s operational management.
The FDA regularly inspects businesses nationwide to assess whether workplaces and their products meet FDA requirements meant to protect public health. Results from these inspections are made available to the public.
According to its website, the FDA is responsible for overseeing the safety and quality of human and animal drugs, biological products, medical devices, and tobacco products.
