The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued three citations to Blister Pack Pro, LLC in Lafayette during a Feb. 18 inspection related to Food Composition, Standards, Labeling and Econ, FDA data shows.
The FDA site lists the following citations delivered to the facility:
- ‘For component(s) used in the manufacture of a dietary supplement, you did not establish identity specifications.’
- ‘You did not establish product specifications for identity, purity, strength, composition and limits on contamination.’
- ‘You did not establish written procedures for holding and distributing operations.’
The FDA conducts regular inspections nationwide to check that facilities and products follow FDA laws and regulations created to support public health. Results from these inspections are released to the public.
The FDA’s website states that it is a federal agency chiefly responsible for overseeing the safety and quality standards for human and animal drugs, biological products, medical devices and tobacco goods.
