Rep. Lauren Boebert, who represents Colorado’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of statements on her social media account criticizing state energy policies and federal defense legislation.

On December 7, 2025, Boebert addressed rising utility costs in Colorado, attributing them to local government actions: “Colorado families are drowning in sky-high energy costs thanks to years of failed green mandates from politicians like Governor Polis. The PUC’s reckless decision to phase out natural gas by 2050 will only make things worse, forcing families to pay thousands for untested https://t.co/aWLzJP1BoG”.

Three days later, on December 10, 2025, Boebert commented on the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), expressing her opposition to the latest version of the bill: “I was proud to support the NDAA when it passed the House earlier this year, but I’m voting NO on the garbage bill on the floor today. The House passed a strong bill. What’s coming back is a woke, pork-stuffed betrayal of our troops and our country. “. In a follow-up post on the same day, she elaborated further: “This bill funds DEI madness, is weak on border security, and is a gift to foreign countries that hate us. But it gets worse…”.

Lauren Boebert has represented Colorado’s 3rd District since 2021 after succeeding Scott Tipton. She was born in Altamonte Springs, Florida in 1986 and currently resides in Silt.
