U.S. Representative Lauren Boebert, who serves Colorado’s 3rd district in Congress, recently posted a series of tweets criticizing the use of foreign corporations for government contracts and advocating for prioritizing American businesses.

On February 19, 2026, Boebert wrote: “Foreign corporations shouldn’t be getting rich on American taxpayers’ dime, and our government shouldn’t be relying on international companies to store our sensitive information. Buy American, hire American, and secure American systems. That’s America First.”

Later that day, she added: “There are so many stories of massive companies (many of them internationally owned) getting rich off of taxpayer funded contracts while failing to deliver basic services. We have to do better.” At 20:32 UTC on the same date, Boebert also posted a tweet featuring only three U.S. flag emojis: ” “

Lauren Boebert has represented Colorado’s 3rd District since replacing Scott Tipton in 2021. She was born in Altamonte Springs, Florida in 1986 and currently resides in Silt.
