Rep. Lauren Boebert, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Colorado’s 3rd district since 2021, shared several updates on her social media account this week, ranging from a tribute to a late colleague to legislative accomplishments and constituent services.
On January 6, 2026, Boebert expressed condolences regarding the passing of Congressman Doug LaMalfa. In her post, she wrote: “Heartbroken today at the sudden loss of my friend and colleague, Congressman Doug LaMalfa. Two days later, on January 8, 2026, Boebert highlighted her office’s work in assisting constituents with federal agencies over the past year. Later that same day, Boebert discussed progress on water infrastructure legislation affecting Southeast Colorado. She posted: “My bill, the Finish the AVC Act, delivers clean water to 50,000 Southeast Coloradoans. Overriding this veto will ensure that President Trump’s commitment to Western water supply and reliability will be upheld and the Arkansas Valley Conduit will finally be completed. https://t.co/U6BCVDlc6W”.
Lauren Boebert began serving in Congress after replacing Scott Tipton in 2021. Born in Altamonte Springs, Florida in 1986 and currently residing in Silt at age 36, she has focused her congressional efforts on issues affecting her constituents in Colorado’s western region.
