On Friday, March 20, Northern Iowa Panthers, featuring former Elizabeth High School star Tristan Smith, were defeated 79-53 by the St. John’s Red Storm in the NCAA Tournament.

The matchup started at 6:10 p.m. at Viejas Arena.

Smith recorded nine points, six rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block during his 29 minutes on the court.
