On Saturday, Nov. 22, former Legend High School standout Rudy Gish’s current collegiate team the Chadron State Eagles lost 17-21 against the Pittsburg State Gorillas in the NCAA Division II Football Championship.
The game took place at Carnie Smith Stadium at 12 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Pittsburg State Gorillas in the tournament.
Colorado track and field concluded its run at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships with three medalists. Danny Tragarz led the way by placing second in the men’s 400-meter hurdles. Several Buffaloes now look ahead to competing at NCAA West Regionals.
The Colorado Buffaloes men’s golf team begins NCAA postseason play at the Bryan Regional starting May 18 in Texas. Head coach Roy Edwards announced his lineup as they aim for advancement against some of college golf’s best programs.
Kole Mathison secured third place for Colorado in the men’s steeplechase at the Big 12 Championships. Avery Pearson advanced to Saturday’s women’s finals after a strong showing. The team continues competition through Saturday.
