On March 6, former Monarch High School athlete Sam Carlson and his current college squad, the Hope Flying Dutchmen, were defeated 75-61 by the UW La Crosse Eagles during the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.

The matchup started at 6:50 p.m. in Mitchell Hall Fieldhouse and was the Hope Flying Dutchmen’s first tournament contest against the UW La Crosse Eagles.
