Announcement

Town of Castle Rock issued the following announcement on Aug. 13.

If you’re ready to “take it easy,” we have the perfect solution. The Tunes for Trails, Perks for Parks free concert series continues Thursday, Aug. 20 with The Long Run Band. Registration will open at 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17.

The Long Run Band is Colorado’s tribute to the Eagles. The locally-based musicians are dedicated to the faithful reproduction of the music of America’s most iconic band.

Join the fun from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, please note, there will be some changes this year to abide by State heath guidelines and accommodate social distancing.

Based on current State health orders, a limited number of people will be allowed in the Amphitheater at one time. While this is a free concert, attendees must preregister. Concert goers can choose between the orchestra area or lawn seating during registration. A maximum of 220 people will be allowed in the orchestra area, and 250 people will be allowed in the lawn area. Walk ups will not be permitted. Additionally, attendees are asked to wear face coverings during the check in process and while walking around the event.

Registration will be available at CRgov.com/TrailTunes. Questions about registration? Contact the Recreation Center Front Desk at 303-660-1036.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. The concert begins at 6:30 p.m. Pack a picnic and enjoy some time with the family before the show. Please note, food and beverages will not be available for purchase. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own food and drinks; however, glass is not allowed. It is important to note this will be a scaled back event. The traditional bouncy houses and yard games will not be available.
