DOUGLAS COUNTY: Registered voters, your ballot is arriving!

Vote6(1000)

Douglas County issued the following announcement on Oct. 12.

Douglas County registered voters — be on the watch for your General Election ballot in your mailbox. Ballots were mailed to all Douglas County registered voters beginning on Friday, Oct. 9.

Track your mail ballot. From mailed to accepted, check the status of your mail ballot and sign up for phone, text or email notifications from BallotTrax. If you are a registered voter and have not received your ballot at the address associated with your voter registration by Oct. 20, obtain a replacement ballot by contacting Douglas County Elections at 303-660-7444, or by visiting a Voter Service and Polling Center (VSPC) for assistance beginning Oct. 19.

What’s on the ballot? Visit the Douglas County ballot information page to review a sample composite ballot for all items on Douglas County ballots.

Locate your closest ballot drop box. Did you know that more than 80 percent of Douglas County voters prefer to deliver their ballots for free using one of the 20 convenient ballot drop box locations countywide? This year this option is even more appealing — safe, secure ballot drop boxes are open now through 7 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3, 2020.

Vote Early. Near You. No matter how you choose to return your ballot – by mail, at a ballot drop box or at a VSPC – vote early and display the “I Voted” sticker included with your Douglas County mail ballot to show off your civic pride and remind the voters in your community to return their ballots.

Not registered to vote but want to be? Colorado election law allows voter registration up to and on Election Day. If you live in Douglas County, plan to vote in the November election and are not registered to vote, do so at DouglasVotes.com through Oct. 26 — after that time you will need to visit a VSPC.

Voter Service and Polling Centers. Voter Service and Polling Centers will open at four locations in Douglas County on Oct. 19. Seven additional locations will be open beginning Oct. 30, and on Election Day nine more VSPC’s will open, giving voters 20 locations to visit for election-day support. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 public health emergency, in-person voting may be limited or unavailable at certain locations, please check DouglasVotes.com or call 303-660-7444 before visiting a VSPC to confirm availability.

When is the last possible day to vote? Know your ballot deadline. No matter how you deliver it, your ballot must be received by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020 — an Election Day postmark does not count.

Have questions or need assistance? Please visit DouglasVotes.com for additional voter registration and election information or to chat online with Elections staff, or contact Douglas County Elections by phone at 303-660-7444.
