CITY OF LONE TREE: City to Host Drive-Thru Trick or Treating

Halloween

City of Lone Tree issued the following announcement on Oct. 21.

To help everyone enjoy a safe Halloween, City volunteers and staff members have joined forces to host a drive-thru trick or treating on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 3 – 6 p.m. at the Municipal Building (9220 Kimmer Drive) and Lone Tree Arts Center (10075 Commons Street). So put on your costumes, hop on your car and drive up to either location for sweet treats!

If you decide to trick-or-treat on your own, we urge you to follow Tri-County Health Department’s safety tips to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Make sure to go out in small groups, keep 6 feet apart, use hand sanitizer often, and make your mask part of your costume. Avoid large parties and events and stay safe while trick-or-treating by avoiding close contact with people outside of your household. Older adults and people with medical conditions should still stay at home to reduce their risk. While many places have decided to cancel their annual events, others are working to alter traditional events to make them smaller and limit contact and others are moving the fun online.

If you decide to go out on Halloween, consider getting tested seven days after Halloween and staying home and away from others for 14 days after to protect your friends and family in case you were around someone with COVID-19 and did not know. Remember, you can get COVID-19 without having symptoms. If you have symptoms, get tested right away.
