City of Castle Rock issued the following announcement on Nov. 12.
Effective Friday, Nov. 13, residents and businesses in Castle Rock will be under the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s Safer at Home Dial Level Orange. The move from Level Yellow to the more restrictive Level Orange is based on Douglas County’s percent of positive cases; the amount of cases in a two-week period; and hospitalization rates related to COVID-19.
A summary of the capacity differences between Level Yellow and Level Orange is available on CDPHE’s website at covid19.colorado.gov/data/covid-19-dial.
The change to Level Orange will impact some Parks and Recreation services provided by the Town. Capacity at facilities and in programs will be reduced, and indoor sports league games will be halted. For more information, visit CRgov.com/ReturntoWellness.
Town employees continue to work – many of them remotely – providing necessary services; others are in the field, including public safety personnel. Visit CRgov.com/ContactUs or CRgov.com/OnlineServices to reach Town staff and connect to online services.
