Census Bureau: 6.7% of people in Boulder County identified as multiracial in 2021

Of the 328,713 citizens living in Boulder County in 2021, 93.3% said they were only one race, while 6.7% said they were two or more races, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained in June.

The most prevalent racial group among citizens in Boulder County who reported being of a single race in 2021 was white, comprising 84.9% or 279,046 individuals. Following them, Asian accounted for 4.7% and totaled 15,518 individuals.

The percentage of multiracial residents in Boulder County is 1.7% lower than the state average, which stands at 8.4%.
