4.6% of citizens unemployed in Boulder County in 2021

Boulder County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.6% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 8,520 people out of the 328,713 living in Boulder County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Boulder County has increased compared to the 4.5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Boulder County was nearly equal to the statewide unemployment rate of 4.6%.

Of the 178,208 people who had a job during that time, 229 were employed in the Armed Forces and 177,979 belonged to the civilian labor force.
