Tristan Smith, a former Elizabeth High School basketball star now playing for the Northern Iowa Panthers, is set to participate in the NCAA Tournament.
The Panthers will open the tournament as the No. 12 seed, facing the St. John’s Red Storm, who are seeded fifth.
The team’s first game is scheduled for Friday, March 20, at 6:10 p.m. at Viejas Arena.
These former Southeast Denver area high school standouts will be active on Friday, June 12.
The Beloit Sky Carp were defeated 16-10 by the Quad Cities River Bandits in their MiLB matchup on Wednesday, June 10.
