The Colorado Buffaloes Ski Team concluded the regular season on Feb. 26 at Bridger Bowl in Bozeman, Montana, with the final alpine qualifier ahead of the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association (RMISA) Championships. The event was a rescheduled slalom race and served as the last chance for individual skiers to improve their NCAA qualification standings before postseason competition.

This race did not include team scoring, focusing instead on individual performances as athletes aimed to secure their spots for upcoming championships. The Buffaloes fielded shortened lineups, with Alexa Brownlie and Stanley Buzek sitting out to prepare for the U23 World Championships.

Filip Wahlqvist led the men’s team by finishing second overall after holding the fastest time in the first run. He completed both runs in a combined time of 1:35.79. Christoffer Oestroem improved his position significantly during his second run to tie for 16th place, while Feb Allasina and Justin Bigatel were unable to finish their second runs despite promising starts.

On the women’s side, Paige DeHart achieved her best slalom result of the season by finishing sixth overall with a time of 1:44.09. Hannah Soria moved up from her starting position to finish twelfth, and Cathinka Lunder posted the fastest second run among all competitors to climb into twenty-second place. Louison Accambray’s streak of eleven consecutive podium finishes ended after she did not complete her first run.

The Buffaloes will begin competition at the RMISA Championships on Friday with additional slalom races at Bridger Bowl and classic Nordic races at Soldier Hollow in Midway, Utah. Both disciplines will compete on the same day for the first time this season, with championship events concluding Saturday.
