The University of Denver men’s golf team finished in eighth place at the Bell Bank Collegiate in Litchfield Park, Arizona, on March 24. Zander Grant led the Pioneers with a fifth-place individual finish after shooting a combined score of 211, five under par.
The tournament saw Marquette claim the team title with a total score of 21-under par. Iowa State followed in second place at 17-under, and Nebraska finished third at 10-under. Individually, Emil Reigger from Maryland topped the leaderboard with a score of 10-under par. Mason Schmidke from Marquette secured second place at eight under, while Zachary May from Iowa State took third at seven under.
Other Denver players included Ryder Odem who tied for thirty-third with a two-over-par total of 218. Jet Hernandez and Willis Panzarello both tied for fifty-first at six over par (222), while Jack Dozer finished fifty-fifth with a seven-over-par score of 223.
The Pioneers are scheduled to compete next at the Gaucho Invitational in Santa Barbara, California on April 6-7.
